Works in Progress

I've taken a short break from knitting and started a Lizzie Kate x stitch called Winter Sampler, hopefully the weather is taking notice and we may get some snow at the weekend!!! I will post pics of any snow we may get (fingers and toes crossed) on a later blog.

Also here's a WIP that grows very slowly it has so many colour changes that it gets quite tedious, but I really love the picture. My heart lies in the Yorkshire Dales and hopefully sometime I may get this finished, it's mostly half stitches from here on in.

This beautiful girl will be finished quite soon, she is my next task. I ran out of thread and it's taken me about 3 years to order some more. I know Christine has been wanting to see her for a while now.

My New Years Resolutions

Well heres a photo of our xmas tree, it' s a bit dark but I tried to get the twinkling lights and failed. It looks a bit wonky in the photo actually, probably just my bad cameramanship.

The last view before it all goes into it's box and back up into the loft for another year. We have to take it down today as we're having new windows fitted tommorrow.

My New Years resolution this year is to try and keep the ironing pile down to a bare minimum and to be a more up to date blogger, I'm sure I won't keep either of these though I think I'd have more chance losing a few pounds. Happy New Year to everyone.

The best birthday present ever

Well this was just the best thing ever, the size of the parcel was huge and I was proud of myself for waiting until my b'day to open it. My lovely friend Christine made and sent the beautiful tote bag and needlecase for me. I think she is so talented and so very thoughtful in her choice of fabric for them.
The knitting that's started is the second of a pair of socks for Katie I really must get around to finishing. I'm knitting them using a cotton mix and the stitches are so tiny.
